I have my very personal and discrete reasons for studying Eugenics, and artificial human genetic body and brain engineering, due to a near fatal bicycle accident that I got into in 1983 growing up in Northern Falls Church, VA.

I have been doing research about human cloning and brain engineering.  Here is some info I have learned recently:

 Only the experiment of putting them from earliest infancy into an optimum environment--not forgetting that it need not be the same for everyone--than to modify gene frequencies by wise selection. Once mankind has produced an approximation of that optimum environment, the eugenics task will be much simpler. In fact, the natural selection exerted by such an environment may make eugenics quite unnecessary.

Hiram Bentley Glass (January 17, 1906 – January 16, 2005) was an American geneticist and noted columnist. Born in China to missionary parents, he attended college at Baylor University in Texas. He then furthered his education at the University of Texas, where he received his Ph.D. degree under the mentorship of geneticist Hermann Joseph Muller. His first major academic appointment was at Johns Hopkins University, at which time he was also a regular columnist for the Baltimore Evening Sun newspaper.

Glass was a frequent attendee of the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Symposia.

In 1965, Glass became the first Academic Vice-President and Professor of Biological Sciences at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Dr. Glass' scientific papers were donated to and are available at the American Philosophical Society.
